Detailed Scan - 20 weeks pregnancy

I am 20 weeks today, finally get to do the detailed scan for my baby. I am super anxious to know the gender for my baby. The whole scan is like 30 mins while the gynae slowly move from head to bottom, telling me a lot of body parts and even internal organs where I don't even know of. haha I just keep staring at the screen and hopefully I can make out the gender.

Finally, Dr Yeoh asked me if I want to know the gender. And "ta-la". It is a girl, cos nothing in between. I actually asked her if it is 100% confirmed, she laughed and told me 90%. Mmm, so I am wondering does it means that during one of my check-up, the penis might suddenly appear again. :P

It is a girl. Weighing 306g. :D So happy, I had been drooling over the pink, lacy, cute, dresses, hairclips, head bands and shoes.. which is always occupying 70% of the children stores. (Sorry Xavier, not mummy don't want buy clothes for you, but really very limited for your clothes.) So far i put on ard 3kg+ weigh, quite little, but my appetite comes in ard this 2 weeks.

The nurse passed me the pre-admission form for the hospital today, a bit surprise cos never thought it would be so early.. she can booked the room for me already. After a bad experience with the 2 bedded last time, I am definitely going for 1 bedded now!

No Updates

Feel quite guilty abt not updating Xavier blog, mostly because first Xavier keep falling sick for every 2 weeks, then my pregnancy for the 2nd baby comes and all the MS comes along. Suddenly, I just don't know how to continues with the blog. Had been taking very few photos for the past few months. sigh!

Actually this pregnancy is slightly better than when I had Xavier. At least I had a bit of appetite unlike when I had Xavier when I feel like puking whenever I smell those Japanese rice. It is just the same problem, keep burping and feel nausea and giddy once a while.

Telling myself, I need to work harder. Don't even bother to take photos of my tum tum this time. Sometimes can't even feel myself pregnant because I am busy with Xavier. Suddenly just feel that perhaps 3 yrs age gap is better. Anyway, I still thank god that I had a smooth pregnancy this time.

Dinner at Pu Tien

We had dinner at Pu Tien Restaurant at Tampines Mall. Although not a lot of selections but at least it is a fresh change from the typical cantonese restaurant.

We tried:
1) Braised Pig Intestine
It was nicer when hot, but slowly when it is cold, we are not sure why it taste bitter

2) Cold Jelly Fish Head
Perhaps because it is the jelly fish head, it was so Q, more like very hard to bite on

3) Homemade Beancurd
Very nice and smooth, all of us like this. Xavier like this with his rice

4) Honey Glazed Pork Rib
Not bad, crispy and sweet

5) Blueberry Shan Yao
Nice and Fresh Conbination. The Shan yao is cripsy and goes well with the sauce.

7) Bao
I like this bao a lot, cant remember the exact name. So nice when eaten hot. The stuffing instead is very nice with glass noodle and meat.

16 Weeks

Baby is 196g now. This baby seemed a lot more active if compared to Xavier. Keep moving around during the scans. So soon, I had to schedule my detailed scan next mth. Dr Yeoh this time round say, cant see the KKB, so maybe it is a girl. Now i dunno if I should trust her or not, last visit tel me maybe boy, this visit tell me maybe girl.. I should just wait for the detail scan. If this time is a girl, I can close factory already.. :P

Actually feel bad for Xavier as I had been feeling sleepy, can't carry him and did not give him as much attention as I used to. His stickiness seemed to be better now when I pass this first tri. There is still some morning sickness, although I just vomit once. I still feel giddy, nausea and burping much often. Seldom take photos of Xavier too, also because he keep falling sick from aug to sep. once every 2 weeks.

Early Birthday Celebration for TL

Because TL had to go training in Bangkok for training, I decided to celebrate his birthday earlier. Ordered a mango cake for a change, quite sick of chocolates and Tiramisu cakes already.

Oscar test for baby #2 today. It was quite funny as the Dr Yeoh told me MAYBE it is a boy! I went "har.." because I thought it was to early to tell. Actually so much wanted to ask her so small, how did u see? lol Cos I would have prefer a girl, but TL kind of scold me for having this thought, cos as long as baby is healthy, what every gender doesnt matter.

3 days later, I got a call from Dr Yeoh office and told me I passed the Oscar test. Phew!

Obalo

Cheese cakes from Obalo at Joo Chiat Road. It cost like $7 per piece, not very big pieces, but end up I can't finish the whole thing becos it is too cheesy! Quite expensive for a small cake, but very filling. The taste is too strong and thick for my liking.

Daddy off to Taipei

Daddy is off to taipei, we are here to send him off. I had to managed Xavier on my own for at least 5 days.. This feels so tiring!

Actually I miss not much there, except the food!! Too bad I cant get TL to tabao the food back in Singapore.

Lunch at Paramount

Remember that we were lunching here for some occasion, but then I can't remember what. :P Anyway this restaurant Tung lok Paramount, food selection is quite limited and so so only.

I don't have much appetite and keep on feeling nausea and Xavier seemed to be more cranky these day and I wonder if it is due to my pregnancy with the 2nd child.

Lunch at The Ship, Shaw Centre

Met up Daphne at The ship for lunch. I had the prime rib streak, the taste is ok but not as good as I think it should be. Anyway my appetite had been quite good. :D Then I accompany Daphne to her shopping spree at Isetan. She seemed uncontrollable, wanting to buy everything for her baby girl. Meanwhile, I just look look see see, this is still too early for me to buy anything for my #2. I think I prefer to wait till Year End Pte Sale. Actually not much to buy, since most of the things can still be re-usable from Xavier's.

I just buy a stacking toy for Xavier, hope he likes it.

6 weeks 5 days

I am 6 weeks 5 days pregnant. Can already see the baby heartbeat, so glad about it because that means the pregnancy is doing well. The EDD is roughly around 11 March 2010. Which means it is very close to my own birthday, I had mix feeling about this, because I don't want to share birthdays with my baby. Cos my baby also deserved her own cake and celebrate and not always celebrate together with mummy.

Next visit would be in 5 weeks time, when I need to do the oscar test.

Yes, I am having the 2nd child. Kind of sense it before my mense date is due. Was kind of surprise because never expect to happen so soon since we just start TTC around 2 mths back. Never the less, I hope this pregnancy is a smooth one.

Buy this from the Japanese food fair at Isetan Tampines. But the raw stuff are not fresh at all. Make me feel like vomiting at the end of the day.. sob, cost me $24!!!

Wedding Anniversary Hi-tea

I had been always wanted to go to Goodwood Park Hotel Hi-tea buffet. Finally TL brought me there as a belated Wedding Anniversary Celebration. Xavier hd been a good boy, because he fell asleep on our way there and we managed to have a good hour of nice hi-tea without any disturbance from him. :D

The selection is not exactly a lot, but every item is so nice. Wish I had the time to time to sit down longer and relax and have a good chat there. However after Xavier wakes up, he is more interested in walking around the area.

So fast, we are already married for 4 yrs!!

Bintan Trip

This isn't a good start for the trip, Xavier was sick on the early morning before we set off to bintan. sigh. We were all so worried that we might be send back becos he wont pass the temperature test. Fortunately, he managed to pass off on the 2nd try.

I won this 2D1N Bintan Lagoon trip from Five Star Tour agency. Decided to book 2 more rooms for parent in law, min and 2 aunties.

Review for this resort? Disappointing! Service is bad, the check-in queue is long. We request for early check in but it was never been done and we just keep being push back on the timing. The rooms are pretty nice since it is just renovated. But we have to take 2 lifts up and now becos one of the blocks are renovated and only1 floor can be pass through.

The food is expensive and not impressive. The buffets is full of houseflies, the surrounding is so hot and poorly ventilated. The only fun we had is at the swimming pool. Xavier remains feverish throughout the whole trip. sigh.

I still prefer Angsana Spa and resort, the food there is much better.

It was a relatves dinner of 3 tables.

Xavier isn't in his best mood. Perhaps he is tired from the long wait. Anyway, the claypot crab with mee boon is really nice - as in the soup is really sweet but the crab become tasteless. The the crab with salted egg is very best, the crab meat is more delicious. They also order KL-Style Black Hokkien Mee but i heard that they still lose out to the original msia style (according to mil and sil).

Meanwhile, Me and tl have to take turns to "walk" around with Xavier, just like therest of the relatives kids who run off in the middle of the dinner. I can say that task is really tiring, he prefer to walk on his own and never watch where he is going.

Wild Wild Wet

My first time to wild wild wet! Went there with hubby and min since we still have free tickets from the chalet. After opening for so long, i finally get a chance to go there and play. lol

Found a lot of tourists there, like Japanese.. but what I found weird was some malays are fully dressed from top to toes in the pools.. It seemed very hot to me. Initially I wanted to bring Xavier along, but MIL decided to look after him, so that we cant enjoy ourselves. Anyway I am glad that I didn't have him along with me as I realised that there are so many children at the toddler's play area.

TL got very very sunburn after 3 hrs of play.. He refused to apply sunblock and he is like a roasted pig now.. I snapped some photos of this roasted pig but I think he will kill me if I post them here. haha

Shopping at Bugis

Night at the Museum 2 Premiere Preview

I won 2 tickets to the Night at the Museum 2 Premiere Preview! Join the contest the day before and was told that I won the tickets in the evening. The venue is over at the National Museum. They have some hi-tea reception, and we saw some mediacorp Artists attending this event.. people like zoe tay, Pan ling ling and family etc etc

The security was strict, we had to deposit all recording devices at the security booth before we proceed to the theatre. The movie is very funny but lack of the surprise element in the part 1.

Anyway it is overall a good experience, and we bring home some souvenirs.

Simple Celebration

It is a yearly event for us to have a buffet lunch at a restaurant with my parent during May time.. in time celebration for Mother's day, my mum's birthday and Kelvin's birthday.

This time round, I finally decided to go to:
Spice Brasserie

After reading some good comments on hungrygowhere, we decided to try this international buffet. When we reached there, we realised that it is just beside Mustafa Centre, a lot of Indian Guests. But it is very different inside this restaurant.. perhaps becos they served interntional buffet with teochew porriage, so the people inside are mostly chinese.

The Selection for international is quite limited, some sashimi like salmon and swordfish and some sushi. The local cusine is pretty good as most of them are only prepared by the chef behind the counter after u ordered it.. so the food are pretty nice and hot. I loves the satays!

Anyway we seemed to be too early as there are limited number of waitors serving the restaurant. We had to wait like 20mins before the water are served to us.. and we start seeing the rest of the waitors coming in - mmm they are late!

Mother's Day Cake

I decide to have a cake for Mother's Day. We didn't order in advance, so we have quite a limited choice when we were at the The Patissier, we only can get Cocoa Napoleon since we already tried Tiramisu before.

The chocolate is too much for me, can't have it too much as it was too sweet after some time. I still prefer the Tiramisu.

Xavier had no patience at all. Instead of taking a nice photo with us, he was losing his patience after a few photos and desperately wants to grab the cake to eat. But yet, it was too sweet for him and he puke them all out instead. My boy only can take normal swiss roll cake.. lol

Mother's Day Lunch

A lunch over at Pu Tien Restaurant at Tampines Mall, a nice change of food as we always had cantonese chinese cusine. I find myself busy over Xavier, feeding him with food, rather than enjoying the food itself.

We had:
1) Cold Jellyfish head - the jellyfish are cut into too thick pieces, too hard for our liking.
2) Braised Pig Intestine - Quite chewy and nice
3) Homemade Beancurd - Nice smooth beancurd and fragrance sauce - but portion seemed too small
4) Sweet and sour pork with lychee - Nice dish, the pork is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside but the lychee wasnt really into the taste itself
5) Stew Potatoes Chip- Very special dish, something unique that I never taste before. Very filling
6) Pumpkin cream with ice-cream - At first it taste werid, the cream is salty and the coconut ice-cream is sweet and milky. After sometime, it get nicer.. after the ice-cream melts and we mixed everything together.

This is my 2nd year as Mummy already, I still feel a bit disappointed with Xavier as he don't know how to call me Mummy yet. He still calls everyone Papa, but he knows how to call Daddy so Mummy shouldn't be so hard for him. I guess I need to be a little more patient.

May Day Chalet

I rent a Chalat at the Previous UDMC location. The main objective is to have BBQ, since NTUC is having a promotion of $180 for 3D2N, i thought it was a good opportunity.

We prepared chicken wings and pork chop on our own and then ordered the rest from city satay. We invited just relatives to keep it simple. My objectives is to be able to BBQ, but then Xavier wants my attention, so most of the time, I am feeding him and chasing him around, making sure that he doesn't go and touch dangerous area.

Rented a double storey because I thought Xavier can rest up there, but somehow Xavier do not like it at all, perhaps it was unfamilar, and we also cant leave it up there alone. End up, he was sleeping on the stroller.

Xavier had another dip on the pool here - will update in Xavier's blog instead. :D

The first night, we didn't even stay overnight, we stayed so near - prefer togo home and have a good bathe to sleep. Plus Xavier also have a better time sleeping at home.

We only stayed over the 2nd night when MIL take care of Xavier at home, we played gamecube for like until 2am then we spent a night at the chalet. Overall, it is quite tiring chasing Xavier around, I think I would wait 2 more yr then I would consider BBQ again.

Change of NRIC

1st National Library Book Exchange

I bought some old books to the National Library for exchange! Actually the main purpose is to "donate" some books away, since no one read them now. It's quite easy, drop them off at any national library and get some book coupons, then today go to the national library and get the other books that we want.

Seemed like Singaporeans are quite Kiasu! It was quite crowded when we are at the National Library. This is really my very first time here. A lot of the kids and parents already pick a few basket of books and sat 1 side for selection! (I thought max is 30 books per person.) I even saw 1 aunty bring those flat base good trolley along!

Pushing ard with Xavier along is sure not easy, fortunately we can just give him 1 of the nice board books we found and he is happily fipping away in his pram. The books are not exactly catagorised specifically, just in different languages and fiction and non-fiction.

With TL, we ended up picking 23 books!! Bigger and heavier books too! My objective to empty some of our storage space had failed!

Tampines 1

After 2 weeks of openings, I finally get to see Tampines 1. I had been waiting so long because I don't want to be into this huge crowd. Waiting for like 2 weeks for the crowd to die down a bit. Everyone seemed to be crazy about the new Uniqlo store from Japan.

First feeling when I step in - This shopping centre is about the size of century square. Not exactly very big, 20% of the store are not opened. We went straight into Manpuku Japanese Gourmet Town, and we saw 郭亮，赖怡玲 and 钟琴 filing show there! Should be 小男人周记。 They were filing about this restaurant too, quite wasted to see them throwing off fruits tarts that they only try once on.

Anyway, the restaurant concept is like Marche, everyone have a payment card to settle payment. I tried the Seafood okonomiyaki - to my surprise not everything on the menu is available, they only have some. Perhaps that save time to prepare or what.

The layout is a bit cramp to walk around, and the queue seemed longer at the Ramen store. I heard from sil that the rice wrapped in omelette is not bad. The ice-cream is disappointing as for the price, it is just 1 scope of ice-cream with lots of cream and mix fruits. The fruit tart which look really nice had lots of cream, so I kind of get sick after a few mouthful.

For the rest of tampines 1, they dun seemed to have a lot of shopping. Prices at Uniqlo disappoints me, how can they charge so much for the clothes!!! It was 50% cheaper in Japan! And the material is not exactly fantastic.

I am just happy that there is Aunty Anne's, Carl's Junior and Bakerinn in the east area now. :D

Before we go off, MIL buy bottles of Yammi House's Honeys for us. The sales make it sounds like it would be very good for our health. Will review again if it is really so fantastic.

Also went to the Japanese Bakery - Yamayaki to try out the strawbbery tart. I love it, the biscuit crust is so thin, crispy and smell nice. The strawberries is big and fresh! Less cream compare to Manpuku!

Singapore Flyers

First time to the Singapore Flyers because Hubby have some stuff discount for the family. :D But we need to book the date and paid in advance. It was a bit unlucky because it was raining so heavily. We reach the singapore flyers like 1 hr in advance and found that it was closed due to extreme weather. Sigh. So we sat down at popeye chicken for some simple snacks while we wait for the weather to get better. Fortinately everything is ok by 30mins time. we go for the flyers straight away.

Advantage of raining - No crowds! Not even tourist! It is around 30mins, it seemed slow on the outside but when we are inside we can start to feel the movement and all. Actually it was a bit giddy for me. But overall, it seemed really nice to look at Singapore for so high up.

Overall, this is a nice 1 time experience. Doubt I will come again, cos I prefer Equinox where we can eat and also view such a scenary.

Then we proceed to Marina Square for Dinner. The bad new is I lost my handphone there!! Went shopping around and found that my front zip pocket of my backpack is open!! my W760 handphone, just 7 mths old disappeared, TL tried to call back the number but the handphone was shut off, obviously someone who found/pick-pocket my fone, dun intend to return it back to me. SOB!

TL had to called to M1 to cancel my card. I lost some of my nice Xavier photos as well.. so sad. Now i have to worry about getting a new handphone at a high price since I still have 1.5 yrs of contract.

Azabu Sabo Hokkaido Ice Cream Shop

I actually first try Azabu Sabo in Taipei, it was more of a restaurant than a dessert shop like in sg. I always love the dessert because it always look very attractive. Actually I never go and try the one in Japan. lol

Here I am trying this at The Central after a "small portion" dinner. Actually my choice of dessert is pretty nice.

The red bean paste was actually too sweet, fortunately my one that comes with sweet potatoes balls, actually taste quite special, a combination of hot(sweet potatoes balls) and cold (ice-cream). But i still in the one in Taipei taste better.

This is consider quite a expensive meal. We had to eat chinese meal because i didnt prepare Xavier dinner since we are out the whole day. The restaurant is nice enough to cook me a fish porriage even tho it is not in the menu and even cooked it as a kid portion - just nice for Xavier. But for the rest of the food, I still find the portion too small.

Off to bowling! Had been long since I bowl!! TL actually took leave to be with me on my birthday, we decided to do E-HUb for a bowling session with the whole family!

Our scores are quite terrible but I can win the 1st round hahaha its so funny!! Xavier had his dinner there as he watch very attentively at the pins and balls. Perhaps the sounds make him very interested.

We had 3 games, by the 3rd game we are too tired and performed quite badly..

And Xavier was so tired and all he wants to do is sleep.. hence he keep rubbing his head to my head (always does so when he is sleepy).

Woah.. so fast so fast.. This is the start of the 3! Feel so old already.. already feel old, cos skin is getting bad - getting pigmentation, blackhead problems. Wonder if it got to do with age or the weather in singapore.

Tl and I had been pondering for a long time to go where for makan. Actually I wanted to have a nicer high tea at goodwood park but the timing wasn't so good. So end up we decided to try Lawry. I suggested it, mostly due to the fact that we always passby and look at the manu but never actually once step in.

Ambience was quite nice. The Primerib was pretty fantastic! The meat was pretty tender and chewy. Love the sauce, goes very nicely with the Yorkshire Pudding!

We are very glad that we actually made a reservation 1 hr before we decided to go out for dinner, because we realised that the restaurant was fully booked when we reach there at 7pm. The settings was pretty interesting, but it is a bit difficult to walk to the restaurant from the carpark as we are at the "backdoor".

The pasta were mostly very nice, but the prices seemed to be a bit high for pasta - ranging from $22 to $30. We order seafood pasta - which is very nice with lots of ingredient - tho pasta is a bit smaller portion.

We also order a set where consisted of a four course of which the first was starters and and soup, followed by a tasting of two small portion of pastas. The third course would be the meats along with calamari and prawns and then two desserts. We cannot decide on the pasta, the vongole was pretty spicy. But the meat was disappointing, the chicken was like very tough and hard to eat.

The dessert came - Tirasmisu - very nice! Actually i think it is better to order the main ourselves than ordering the set.

Food at MOF and Property Talks

After the 2nd trial lesson at LNT, we had lunch at MOF. The cold ramen is very nice, refreshing with sesame and peanut sauce - i think. Sushi set was so so, I miss Japan sashimi!

After that we went to a property talk at a hotel and listen to some talks about buying land from overseas. Of course the benefits is after this talk, there is some vouchers! So glad that Xavier was so tired after the trial class that he fell asleep, else we can't really concentrate. The talk was pretty interesting, not pushy but this company had no track record yet, the said that the profit was like 7x, feel too good to be true. Overall after some research around, we think it is too risky to invest money with them. Anyway the $80 vouchers is good enough. :P

Every year we will have dinner at a restaurant with the closer TL relatives. This year, we have a new member - Xavier joining us. :P (Last year, I was on confinement). Happy to say that Xavier was pretty well behaved, sit through the dinner as long as I continuously feed him with food! He loves the 佛跳墙 soup so much that he kept asking for more.

Sad to say that this year the food portion at 万兴 was terrible. Everything seemed to cut down in size. Doubt we are coming back next year.

Meeting up with MJ Kakis - Wilvan & Family plus Runzhang and family. No more MJ sessions with Wilvan because they are going off to China as a family for work. Today can be considered the last session before we fly off the very next day.

We had a simple lunch at New York Cafe and the guys ordered this SUPER BIG portion burger that is meant for 4. (From what I heard - it is not nice at all) LOL

Today is a lucky day, we managed to win around $550 in chips for today MJ session!! Great start for a new year as we had been losing MJ quite a lot for this past few mths. Let's hope this year would be better.

Chinese New Year

Daddy had to work and Xavier was asleep in the afternoon so we kind of set off only at around 2pm, quite late or the first day of the CNY.

We went to Loyang Tua Peh Gong to pray.. there was too many people, I kind of give up in the middle of praying because it was so smoky with long queue and the risk of getting burnt by josstick from little kids behind me. End up we just took some photos at the Cai Shen Ye.

They even have some cows there for people to see and take photos.

This restaurant was introduced by channel 8 永远吃不肥, buffet of $34.80 ++ for adults. 100 plus vareties, I thought it was quite ok food. But the guys ordered too much until we didn't have chance to order our own favourites. Too bad that there is no dessert included in the buffet.

The Sukiyaki was okie, perhaps the meat wasnt nice enough as compared to what I had at Momo paradise in Taiwan. Guess after all in singapore, we have just frozen meat.

The sashimi is reasonable fresh, the Tempura is good, hot and the prawn is nice. Think I like the Unagi best because it doesn't comes with lots of bones.

Today is the day where mil and sil will be back. I am not sure consider it as my days to rest. Actually TL had been taking lots of leaves in december due to so many things happened - Xavier sick, me hospitalised. It actually become more family day for me. Simple lunch potluck and MJ session at Wilvan's new house! Their house is huge and with very nice layout. But then a bit too far at CCK and it was a pity they will be overseas even before they staying in.

TL and I bought logcake from breadtalk, it was very nice - not too creamy and sweet. Last time I buy royal and I found it too sweet. This hazelnut one is just nice, a fresh change from the standard chocolate favour! We have chicken, cheese and wine with salad.

AS usual we continue wth Mahjong after that.

Italian food at Enta Restaurant. The restuarant is nice, small and quiet with quite great service. The squid ink pasta was fantastic, the lobster meat pasta was very nice too, there was a lot of lobster meat in the pasta. Tiramisu al Pistacchio
Tiramisu with pistachio flavour (from Bronte in Sicily)This one does taste a little like Tiramisu, there is too much of pistacchio taste to me. I think I prefer the original. The Panna Cotta Etna was pretty nice, the pudding was soft, creamy and smooth.

Out With Xavier

I regret bringing Xavier out alone. Thought I can managed, drive out alone with Xavier and he started to scream and cry when we were at the main road. He just don;t like the idea of siting in the baby car seat now. Perhaps due to a few times when I carried him in the car while he was sick last week.

I went to pick my bro and father at White Sand and his crying never stop. We tried food, toys and playing and he just continues.. Finally I remembered the pacifier and he finally stopped screaming and crying. By then I already over at ECP!

We were shopping at bugis for my bro CNY clothes, seemed like Xavier cant recognised grandpa and grandma anymore and worse of all refuse to stay long in pram. End up I have to carry him during this shopping trip. Fortunately he wants my brother after 2-3 hrs. eek!

Only when he start to sleep then I can start to shop a bit for Xmas pressie. But hard to buy clothes for myself when I had such a big pram with me.

Liver Result

Nancy - liver doctor assistant called. She says result is out, my liver inflammation is due to some drugs and I had fatty liver. So there is no need for medication for the time being and doctor will want me to do the liver function tests in 6 weeks time.

Phew.. but on the other hand, I feel like I had go through all the pain for nothing.

Liver Biopsy

Today, Tl and I went to the hospital at 7.30am. Managed to checkin to a 2 bedded as the 4 bedded are full. I realised my room mate was a old grandma with her maid who speaks cantonese vry loudly.

Changed to my operating gown and wait for time to pass. The biopsy is supposed to be done by 9.30am, but end up there was some emergency, waited until closed to 11.30am then it was my turn. It feels werid that I have to be wheeled out to the operating threatre from the ward.

Then doc explain procedure, wheeled me in.. poke a hole on my hand to inject the anesthesia. Doc drawed a mark and told me a needle or straw will be insert thro then another needle will go inside the straw to take out the pieces of liver tissue. It is supposed to be local anesthesia. Don't know why i seemed to knock out, only remember that I was push out after the procedure.. don't even remember when the doc did the procedure on me.

But after a while, pain comes in.. and I still feel dizziness and super hunger. I had been fasting since the night before and I am not allowed to eat a2 hrs after the operations!! Request for Milo and it comes with my lunch - porriage at ard 2pm!!

The pain come in, I didnt eat much and go to sleep. 5pm, already very hungry, request for milo again but never come. Then I come o realised Kitchen will not cater for these request when it is near meal time, they will just send in together with the meal.. which already defeat the purpose lah! After so much request, the nurse finally made one for me.

I had to have "soft" dinner too. The dinner comes at 7pm, all mash up potatoes and veggie.. not very nice.

Supper comes 1 hr later. Nothing much for me, it just watch TV, read books. And listen to the grandma and maid talk next to me. Surprise to hear that the maid try to choke the toilet with remains of the apples!! What is she thinking!!

Next morning, Liver doctor come and see that I made good progress, so I could go home. Result will be out by Monday.

New Camera

Finally bought a new camera - Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX520. The old camera became spolit after like 2yrs. Now a days, the electronic stuff just don't last long. We had a hard time at Sitex, didnt want to bring pram since it was crowded and Xavier didn't want to stay in the carrier, in the end we had to take turns to carry him. *faint*

So far, I quite like this camera, Loves the 25mm ultra-wide-angle lens, I can shot Xavier even when he is always close to me, I suppose wide angle is better fo shortie like me hahaha.. can snap the whole view even in short distance. So far the image quality is better than the previous v25mm Olympus Mju 1060, but the the auto-face detection cant detect face with specs. So werid.

Lunch at MOF @ My Izakaya

Shopping around at Bugis, my main objective is to look for Party Store. Managed to find the one which Jac recommended - just opposite fish and co, the building where This Fashion is. There is 3 party stores there, very corwded because Christmas is near but I did not manage to get what I want - Pooh bear theme. The stores had so much things that I find it very confusing. End up didn't buy a single thing.

Anyway, went to MOF @ My Izakaya for lunch. The food was not bad, the dessert selection is very good. Yummy!!

Xavier had a great time there, tasting ice-cream.. it was too cold and she really shiver and made a funny face.. even the waitress laugh. I am a bad mummy!

My stats went up again.

So it was firm that I need to do the liver biopsy. I can't even drag it to January. Doctor says preferably do it in December, and I wont be able to carry heavy stuff for 1 week.

So after discussion with TL, we decided that MIL have to come back for 1 week to take care of Xavier, while TL takes his leave.

The silly thing of all is, maybe there is 20% chance that we will not be able to diagnose anything, it sounds like I might be wasting some hospital bills.

So it is set, I will be doing the procedure on 4 Dec and stay 1 night for observatio. Wish me luck.

Time of the Year

It is time of the year again. MIL and Min will be going back to Msia during the school holiday while I will be alone with Xavier. This means that I have to take care of my own meals and Xavier's needs on our own!

It would be a long holiday, mil will only be back at end of december. Mil buys like 10 drumstick, some pork rib for me to do my own cooking. With Xavier so sticky at times, I doubt I will cook dinner, just simple lunch and then dinner will wait for Daddy to Tabao.

Buffet at Equinox Restaurant!

Putting that aside, we are having buffet at Equinox Restaurant! Thanks to the feed at raffles card that comes with Amex credit card, there is a total of 50% discount for 2 diners.. it is like 1 for 1!!

They have Foie gras!! SO nice that we have at least 3 helpings each, The rest of the selections includes sushi, sashimi, oxyster, soup etc.. and of course my favourite dessert! It is very worth the money cos 2 of us paid like $50 for this. Will come more since we have te discount card. :D

TL to Shanghai

TL going shanghai today, We went over to T3 and had some coffee at The Coffee Club, I ordered the wrong coffee - Banana Butterscotch Latte.. eeek!! Taste like some cough syrup.

Actually don't know what to get from Shanghai. TL even suggest that I followed him to Shangahi and leave Xavier with mil and fil. But I think it is better to leaeit next time.. It was just 2 mths ago when I left Xavier at home and go to Taipei on my own.

Liver Checks & Claypot Laksa

Had been long since I had claypot laksa at Alexandra Village. This is the same version as the one at Vivocity, but cost much cheaper because it is over at hawker centre. And it is still as YUMMY. Although prices are like $3.50 but at least it is cheaper than the $7 sold in that air-con food court.

I also went over to buy some "soon guay" that I remembered the TV program introduces before. It is made from the original "soon" rather than the "man guang" that we buys from outside. That was also yummy!! It cost like 2-3x more than the man guang fillings.

Went for another run of blood test to see if my liver function tests had improved. I lost count how my blood I had drawn since pregnancy till now. The doctor decided to give me another chance to see if the imflammation level would drop since I stop fenugreek. Didnt I told him that I ate fenugreek during my first visit with him, he act as if he does't heard of this before and even have to check and make calls to get people to fax in information about this herb. To be honest, for a moment I felt that my money and my blood had just gone down to the drain.. Sian..

Chiropractic

Together with Mil and Min, we went to Parkway for a Chiropractic check.

As expected, my lower bad is in a bad condition due to the 2 falls on my tailbone, the Chiropractor aid that my sprine was curved from 1 side to another. Which explains why i experience aching at my tailbone when I carry Xavier to long in sitting position.

It came as a surprise that MIl was the most healthy while I come in 2nd while min was the last. Nowadays youngers suffer from unhealthy sprine due to less exercises and facing the computer everyday for long hours with bad posture.

Anyway I am not ready for treatment yet, wait tll TL finished his course of treatment for his neck then we see if this treatment is really effective.

Stopping the flow

Seemed like my supply are quite easily stopped. Fortunately there are not much engorgement except a few lumps here and there which I managed to clear though pumping more extensively.

I already started Xavier on partial formula. Other than leaking on 1 side, the side which produce less milk (???), only the first few days feel terrible as the green veins seemed to pop up on my chest. I think the brain also signal to stop producing as well. Seemed very fast that I could drop to 1 pump per day in just 1 weeks plus.

Xavier doesn't seemed to have any problem adapting formula milk, in fact he seemed to prefer it better than my breastmilk, No signs of rejections, he just drinks as per normal. I just mix my milk with formula for the first few days. At least he drinks better and don't always push away the bottle.

Does my milk really taste that bad?

The nurse call again to inform me to see doc next week.. Don't know why they want to do another blood test for me to see if the liver are better now. Perhaps I had expressed that if possible, i do not want to do the biopsy. I told the nurse that I took fenugreek since I breastfeed, she seemed surprised. I thought I already informed the doctor on my first visit. (???)

Mango Jellyhearts

Sigh, I made 2 mistakes!!
1. Use too much digestive biscuits with too little butter, the base is falling apart. Talking abt poor memories after having a baby...

2. I tried to use Konnyaku jelly instead of crystal jelly. Overcook the jelly, the to part become too Q, and doesnt stick to the chesse when we bite it.

I wonder if it is due to different jelly used or increase amt of sugar, the base just taste more cheesy. It doesnt taste so cheesy the first time.

Breastfeeding

I had to stop breastfeeding as advised by doctor. Slowly drop off 1 pump, now is like 2 pumps a day.. try to pump less each time. Then I start to leak again.. eeek.. The breasts is like super full. The milk seemed to be more transparent, I guess Xavier will feel as full since the fat doesnt come out. Anyway dun have much supply of EBM.

I just feel a bit bad, anyway already done by very best and exceed by expectation of 6 mths of fully breastfeeding to 8 months.

Lunch at Shimbashi Soba

Lunch at Shimbashi Soba. Not my first time here, but TL first time. I just realised their cold udon go very well with their sesame sauce. Next time, I will order that. Nice and tasty.

Anyway, test result is back. Negative for most of the result. Only 1 test result slightly higher. Doctor suspected that is known as Chronic Hep.. IE.. prolonged Liver inflammation due to autoimmune.. layman term - my own antibodies are fighting my own liver making it inflamed.

Autoimmune: Pertaining to autoimmunity, a misdirected immune response that occurs when the immune system goes awry and attacks the body itself.

Autoimmunity is present to some extent in everyone and is usually harmless. However, autoimmunity can cause a broad range of human illnesses, known collectively as autoimmune diseases. Autoimmune diseases occur when there is progression from benign autoimmunity to pathogenic autoimmunity. This progression is determined by genetic influences as well as environmental triggers.

Next step, do a liver biopsy to confirm. Because I will need to take some medication, I have to stop breastfeeding. sigh.

Doctor say not so urgent, cos statistic just slightly high, but I guess I would just go for the biopsy to confirm things. Hopefully I don't have o go throigh the treatment. *pray hard*

Actually we would never have know this, if we never go through any full body checkup. Doctor say prolonged inflammaton to my liver, the real damage will come like 10-20 years time..

Lunch at Prego

Lunching at Prego, quite a worth it because TL had "Feed at Raffles" card and we ca have 50% discount.

Anyway, I was around the area with TL because I had to see a Liver specialist. Somehow my liver had been in inflammation for quite some time, according to the test result so the doctor did a blood test for me to test what could be the cause of the inflammation.

Just the blood test to eck for 7-8 stuff already caused around $300+, ultrasound of liver another $100-200. doctor fee another $100. So expensive!

Mooncakes 2

Yeah. TL managed to get Goodwood Park Hotel mooncakes for me. He specially drives to the hotel and Q there for me. He called and confirmed that in order to get it, he must go there early morning. And each pax is restricted only to buy 1box of snow skin and 1 box of normal mooncakes.

TL bought a mixed flavour mooncakes since I wanna try the Mango with Pomelo and Durian. The other 2 flavours are Yam and Clempalak. Yummy, I loves the Yam and Durian ones.. they tasted better when they are defrozed for like 15mins, Cannot be too defrozen cos will taste too "nua nua".

Rushed over to Century Square to get Mooncake for my mum, wanted to get Goodwood Park Durian Mooncakes but the person at the counter told me it was sold out within 30mins after they opened. Alamak!! They even tell us to come back again next day before lunch time, if we are interested.

No choice, go over to Tampines Mall and realised that there is another Mooncake stores at the Atrium. My Mum and dad Loves durian mooncakes, had been 2 years since I get them any of these mooncakes.. I already surprise that Tok lok no longer sells durian flavour.. Anyway got the 711 D24 Mooncakes for them. Hope they liked it. :D

Taipei Trip - Day 4

Last day in Taipei. We had to leave for the airport at 3.30pm. TL decided not to work today.. phew finally!!

We decided to walk around and shop at the ZhongShan MTR station / Underground shopping trip, walking towards Taipei Station MTR. Sigh at 10am, we were too early! The book stores street were all close!

Had our breakfast in a Taiwanese style. Dumplings, sweet & sour soup with a "xiao cai" - cold doufu!.

Fortunately we still managed to get the Hokkien songs CD for my mum and TL managed to by a belt for himself. The only thing he managed to buy for himself since he had been working and only working during this trip.

Then at 12pm, We had to rush back to hotel to checkout and I need to pump again (maintaining my supply for Baby Xavier). There not even time for me to re-visit the DFS shop at the basement of this hotel. even tho I found that the RL Polos were only $6 more expensive as compared to US warehouses!! Anyway, I thought I could go airport then check them out again.

Rush again to lunch with another friend. Taiwanese chinese food!

No time to shop, only managed to buy Qi Hua Mooncake to go back Singapore to try.

Then it is time to go to the Airport! The disappointing part is I cant find RL store in the airport. Sian! The collection at Formosa Hotel was fantastic, even have children collections, and they dun have a store in their airport.

Found a really sweet NURSING ROOM in the transit area!!

Reached airport at around 10.20pm. Finally get to see my Xavier! But he cannot recognise Mummy, only want Daddy to carry. SOB!!

Only when I get home then I realied Xavier cannot recognise Mummy in contact lens. OMG!

Taipei Trip - Day 3

Rainy days in Taipei.

Joined TL colleagues for lunch, it was a Ke Jia Lunch, nice and interesting food. The restaurant is like hidding inside 1 of the small narrow street that we even have problem finding it. Too paiseh to take photos with so many of TL colleagues there.

Did I mentioned that we realised that we don't have enough cash. That was due to the fact that TL paid for quite a few things for his company expenses using cash instead of credit card becos not all the places accept credit card!

After lunch, I rush to Wu Fen Pu to shop for clothes, with only 1000NT. :( I cant do much shopping, so sian. Only managed to buy 2 t-shirt for my brother and 2 set of tops (390NT each) for myself.

Then I have to take train and rush over to Chen Pin Bookstore to buy some more comics and books for Min, TL and myself. Only managed to buy "PS, I love You" novel for myself. Then rush back to hotel for pumping again!! OMG!! Because of pumping, I need to go back to hotel.

Again, after pumping, TL sms me to tell me that he had meeting in the evening. Again, we are 1 hr late to meet his friends for dinner at Taipei Station. Cant even do more shopping since all the shop are closed already. My plan to go Shiling Night Market was cancelled. I am glad that I went to the book stores instead of waiting for him.

PS: I miss my boy. Heard from mil that he is ok with the frozen EBM, and the milk supply is just enough to last till I come back.

Taipei Trip - Day 2

It must have sound funny that I left the hotel to walk around only at around 2pm. I just wanted to catch up with my sleep.. Uninterrupted sleep since 7 mths ago..I feel so tired after this 8 mths of waking either to pump, stuff in diaper for Xavier or for midnight feedings. I still miss my darling, was so worried that he wont be able to sleep well without mummy, not enough milk for him since I just given away most of my frozen EBM.

I decided to go Sogo to shop around. Had a nice japanese meal for lunch. Shop around but then somehow don't have the mood to buy yet, perhaps still not in he mood. Walk around the children department but did not find anything I like for Xavier. It is already the start of the summer sale, lot of discount at the shopping centre! Discount go as low as 70% off, but to start with the pricing of the clothes here are at least 50-60 for T-shirt or $100+ for a nice top. Ended up，I just went to the bookstore to get some comic that sil wants.

I travel back to Zhong Shan MTR to shop around the Shinguang shopping centre, Only after that, the mood kicks in and I start to shop! Bought 2 tops and 1 jumper for Xavier. Got myself 1 jacket and 1 dress. Managed to get 2 top for sil.. all at 70% discount!!

Kaki jacket and Navy dress belongs to me. The rest are for Baby Xavier!

TL message me that he will be late as he suddenly had a meeting. As expected! I continue my shopping with a big bag of comic. Back to the hotel at 7pm, pump again, then wait for TL to be ready for dinner. He had to postpone a dinner with his Taiwanese colleagues, and we have a meal at 王品 instead. Sigh made me rush back from my shopping and end up I still have to wait like 2hrs for him in the hotel room.

Taipei Trip - Day 1

A quick trip to Taipei since TL had to go Taipei for a business trip. A trip withiut Xavier coming along. I sure miss him, I never part with him for more than 10hrs.

First time go to Terminal 3 Airport. :D So take photo of the gate, testing my new hp. :D

A 8am flight, we reached Taipei city at around 1.30pm. We checked in at Grand Formosa Hotel. But I have to pump first to maintain my supply before we can go out. :P

First stop - 龙山寺
It was first day of the lunar 8th month, it was very crowded with lots of people chanting prayers. Thank god for the safety arival of my baby! The primary task for being in Taipei was completed.

Next Stop - 西门町
I missed the 老昌记 drumsticks! First thing is to tabao some for supper tonight. It was so rush, quickly go Watson to buy a bit of cosmetic stuff. Next went to have Mango Snow Ice. I was so disappointed that the Mango had been reduced to just 1/3 of the bowl within 1 year. Was economy so bad???

7pm rushed back to hotel to pump again. Then rush over 原烧 for dinner with TL's colleague, Lilianna. TL have some bithday coupon to have a free plate of beef. To our surprise, there was a free dessert and a surprise photography sessions as well, while the stuff there sing happy birthday to TL.

Comex Fair

TL just came back to Singapore from Korea on the night before. This morning we were rushing over to the Comex IT Fair. This time comex fair at Suntec. First time it was like occupying 4 levels. we reached there around 11am to secure the parking space at Suntec.

Finally managed to buy a notebook to replace my silly old PC. Phew. finally.. Decided to get a higher end notebook so that I can do some simple web jobs.

And I gave up to that Samsung Handphone, pass it over to TL and got myself a Sony Ericsson W760i Handphone.. touchscreen is not for me!

Jellyhearts

I decided to try doing Jellyhearts since there is no baking involved. I search online and found a recipe online from Happy Home Baking Blog.

I did some amendments. Added in some lemon juice to the cream cheese mixture so that it taste taste too cheesy. But I made a mistake by mixing the jelly ice crystal with too much water because I follow the instructions on the box instead of the recipe. :P

I had to use mangoes instead of strawberry, cos I didn't managed to find any strawberries in the supermarket.. Wrong season! Had to use Mango with strawberry jelly. So u can see that the fruits are not so "visible".

The verdict is so good, except that the jelly was too soft. I found that the biscuit base and the cheese are set better after 1 day! So it is better to make 1 day in advance before serving. :D

Going to try 1 more with those japanese crystal jelly and see if it is better.

Free Movie Treat

TL's company gave a free movie treat for their employees. We reached Marina Square at 6.15pm, had a quite dinner at Carl's Junior - I loves their Mushroom burger, yummy. But it was a quick makan session of 15 mins because TL had been late due to his meetings (actually made me wait like 30mins in the car)

We were surprise to see long queue, OMG! GE booked like 4 cinemas so the queue to go in was very long. Moreover it was free seatings so by the time we got it, we are already sitting at the 4th row. Anyway it had been long since we have "pak tor" time together.. even longer since we watched a movie.

Actually to me, it seemed to be like a chinese show.. more than 50% seemed to be talking in chinese. The jokes were too fast to catch.

The language inconsistency was very obvious. Somehow the mum managed to talk very fluent english, then can even cast spell in english when preciously she had to use ancient tibet language.

Buay Ta han lor. Overall, it is great for entertainment.

Before going home, we dropped by John Little to buy Xavier a little toy. Will post it on Xavier blog instead.

Breastfeeding for 6 Months

Yahooo!!! I had been doing exclusive breastfeeding for 6 mths! The main milestone for me to consider stopping. As I am doing pumping, I wasted a lot of timing pumping away when I could have rest, sleep and interact more with Xavier.

Remember those days where I pump for 1 hr with just a miserable 20ml. With some helps from supplements like Fenugreek, Green Papaya with fish soup, Mothercare - more Milk Plus. I managed to come so far. Now I pump like 4x a day, producing 1 litres everyday when time is good, 30mins is enough for a session.. but sometimes it will go up to 1 hr due to some block ducts.

I actually planned to stop now.. at 6 months but somehow don't know why I just can't bare to do it. I wanted to go taiwan at oct, so I thought perhaps I should stop now.. but some mummies mentioned like it could be too wasted. I could just reduce my frequency and just pump enough for Xavier (ard 750 -900ml), with introduction of solid.. Xavier's demand for milk will go down.. Else I can just do it partial breastfeed, pumping just 2 x a day, when I wake up and before I sleep then It wont affect my activity and Xavier could continue with his mummy's milk.

Shall work towards pumping 2x a day.. (meanwhile no action being done..)

Meanwhile, one of my ameda valve broke and I had to resort to electronic pump on one side and manual pump on the other. Seemed like Avent ISIS manual pump is still the best at emptying my breast and perhaps that why the breast would start to leak after 6 hrs after I switched back to both electronic pump.

Chinatown

TL friend, Rucky from Hongkong is here. Together with Becky, we bring him around to have seafood at 小红楼梦, to Chinatown to walk along temple street, food street and let them try dessert and satay. Then we went Joo Chiat to have Bah Guh Teh for dinner.

There is really nothing much to show around foreigner in Singapore except showing them where to eat and eat and eat.

Membership from Doctor

We can soon get membership from doctor. Had been seeing the GP every week for 1 mth already.

Went to see doctor with mil. My flu had developed into a cough, and my flu havent get any better. Had no choice but to take antibiotics but I can continue to breastfeed. But the medicine is very strong, feel so sleepy.

MIL went to let doctor monitor her situation, seemed like she wont be spreading the chicken pox virus now.. so we dun have to keep Xavier away from her.. at least some relief for us.

Chickenpox Crisis Continues

On friday night, MIL realised that he felt soreness on her arms and legs. She had gotten Chickenpox from sil. Exactly 2 weeks after sil got hers. Now we had to re-distribute housework while mil have to rest. Now I have to worry another 2 more weeks to see if TL and Xavier would be getting the Virus. *sigh*

On the other hand, I am having flu for quite some time.. ended up feverish in the middle of the night. Silly me had been delaying treatment because I was worried that I won't be able to breastfeed after taking medicine. End up my flu got worse, keep sneezing non-stop. After going to GP today, then i realised his medicine could let me continue breastfeeding.. ah-duh! SIL also got a flu, perhsp from me.. so she also got to take MC and rest at home.

Its quite tiring since I had to keep Xavier away from mil, which means no helper for Xavier. Again have to manage everything on my own including when I pump. I felt so sleepy after the medication..

Vivocity and Boss Restaurant

Meet up with Becky, TL Taiwanese Colleague at Vivocity to bring her to republic food court for makan. Over that food court have a lot of local food, so it is easier and cheaper to makan there. Introduce laksa, kuah Pati, hokkien fried noodle etc to her.. She like this food court. A good choice. :D

Xavier remains in his pram while we shop around. But he quickly fall asleep while we venture outdoors so not outdoor pix with him. :(

For tea time, I insist that I wanna try Boss restaurant Dim Sum, Had been eyeing the durian dessert for very long ever since I saw this chinese variety show recommending it..

Actually not bad, I like the beef stomach best.. Yummy and unique.. so chewy and spicy. The liu sa bao is better when hot.. and the white chrysanthemum tea is fragrance and go well with dim sum. But I find that the Xiao Long bao skins seemed to be too thick. The durian dessert, I find the durain fillings not thick enough. :P

Overall, find this restaurant not bad for some unique dim sum.

Samsung F480

Finally, after so much frustration. TL bought the handphone F480 for me. Of course, on the condition that if I don;t like it, he will take over. :P I don't have much of a good impression of a touchscreen phone ever since I used O2.

True to my expectation, althought F480 is much more sensitive. But the texting part is still difficult, I always click on the wrong button even though I thought my fingers are small enough, end up I had to keep going back to re-type the words. sianz.. The troublesome part is to get phone number from the phone book, the scrolling is troublesome and each time, i could only see 4 names in a screen, selection is difficult. sigh

the "desktop" widget is interesting and nice to change, but only have simple features. Worse of all the 5 megapixel camera have some issues.. somehow all the photos taken by me are blur out and looks like very poor resolutions. I checked out online and it seemed to be a common issue. It will look very blur when snap, but after saving, the image will turn blur.. already complain to samsung but they seemed surprise to this issue.. so have to return this back to service centre and let them check. Sigh!

Bad Day

OMG, I had been so fedup. Everything that I wanted to buy was sold out!!

First of all, I always wanted to upgrade my phone. Finally after waiting for 3 mths, Sony erricson W760i was here. I like the red colour and the camera feature but end up, the red colour wasn't here yet! Even the new phone C902, the red colour model also not available.

Finally, I settled for the M1 offer for the Samsung F460i for $229, TL agree to let me have it first for trial and if I don't like it, I can pass the new phone to him and buy the model that I wanted but then it was also sold out!! It was still available yesterday when I was researching around.

Then I went over to BNG to get the Jumper/exersaucer for Xavier. OMG, it had been always be there ever since last 2 mths till yesterday, but today it was GONE. We checked with the cashier and she told us that she just sold it not too long ago.. SEE LAH.. Mr TL.. that is the problem of considering too long. sigh.

Finally decided to get a 2nd option for Xavier, a Walker!! After choosing and picking a suitable one that Xavier likes.. The sales told us, it was sold out!

I give up..

Chicken pox Crisis

OOps Sil gotten chickenpox, we think she could have got it from msia.

I had consider bringing Xavier to my mum place to stay over until the virus spot spreading but After checking with GP and PD, we realised that it would had been too late!, Virus already start spreading 2 weeks before the symptom show out!!

That means Xavier might have already caught the virus! And to make things worse, the whole Lim Family never got chicken pox before.. I am the only person in the family with chicken pox before!

The only thing we can do now is try not to let the infected person carry Xavier and stay away from being in the same room, especially for the first 3 days.

End of Home Alone

Yeah.. Mil and sil are coming back today. Decided to fetch them, wake up early, bathe Xavier and feed him and off we go to the airport. I was a bit blur, solely rely on the information on teletext and waited at the wrong belt. I find it strange that why everyone left and I still cant see my mil and sil. Went over to check the status on the screen again and realised I made a mistake! :P

Fortunately mil and sil not back yet, I just wheel Xavier over and waited. Xavier can recognise his granny even for not seeing her for 2 weeks. He was excited and flipping his hands and kicking his legs..

Finally I can take a break from this 2 weeks alone at home. A nice experience which I think I wont experience again since every growing stage is different. The next time when I am home alone, Xavier would be 6 mths older and should be easier to manage.

Nice jellyhearts! Ordered together with friends, it looks so nice.. with agar on top, cheesecake at the bottom.. Not too cheesy as the agar agar covered the smell of the cheese.. Yummy!!

Home Alone With Xavier

2 days alone with Xavier. I find that life is so hectic with a baby and without a helper. Just 2 days alone with Xavier, I already find it very tiring. I had to manage his every 3 hr feed and bath him 2 times a day.. and I still have to cope with my pumping 5 times a day.

I find that I had only enough time to bathe and prepare lunch for the short 30mins to 1 hr nap Xavier takes in his noon time. Then I have to place him in the bouncer, while I quickly eat my lunch - stream meat with rice (which is easy to prepare). Sometimes he doesnt want to stay in the bouncer and I had to carry him with 1 hand while quickly eat with the other.

Pumping time was much worse, Xavier hates to lie down too much and prefer to sit. I tried pumping and hold him to sit with my legs (yes legs!). I find it so clumsy when I had to sometimes use my hands to support him when milk start to drip all over as the grip to my breast pump get lossen. I finally give up and decided to pump in the living room with all the curtains drawn and put Xavier at the mattress.. and let him play with his toys until he runs out of patience.

Dinner time - wait for TL to come back from work to tabao.. then we take turns to eat. By then I would be so exhausted but had to continue with housework..

Really must salute those SAHMs who can manage to stay alone with baby..

3rd Wedding Anniversary

First Celebration for our wedding anniversary even tho it is the 3rd anniversary already. Dump Xavier with pil and off we go...We choose to celebrate at Morten because this is the restaurant where TL proposed to me around 5 years ago. :D

We still remember that time where we were too occupied with the bread that we cannot finished the main dish and had to cancel the dessert!! haha.. This time round, we tell ourselves not to make this mistake again.

Our streak, my ribeyes seemed to be a bit tough even tho I want medium cooked. Anyway I still prefer Angus House streak. :P

The potato, which is huge and too filling... lastly, signature dessert , warm chocolate cake.. which is on the house!! It is much better than Baker's Inn.

Dr Kwa 20th Wedding Anniversary

Its Dr Kwa's 20Th Anniversary. Tl and I were invited to her celebration. Tl had known Dr Kwa since his University days and Dr Kwa had been his "mentor" since then.

The food at Peach Garden was fantastic, it was very interesting for her kids to be Emcee for the night, very entertaining.

For night time, we went to pil's favourite Teochew restaurant for dinner. Bang Heng is over at Bendemeer Road. We had Buddha Jump over the wall set menu.. yummy!! Abalone, sharkfin, chicken, mushroom.. served like 4-5 dishes..
